Chris Baker (BCOM, LLB)

After completing a double degree at the University of Queensland in 1988, Chris finally settled on the Sunshine Coast in 1988 and established Bakers Lawyers in 2001.

Chris established a practice which focused primarily on Property and Commercial type dealings as well as Wills and Estates.  Over the years Chris has expanded his client base by acquiring Buderim Law in 2007 and most recently Andrew Fogg Lawyers.  

Chris is an honorary lawyer for a number of local charities on the coast and is involved in many community pursuits including his current roles as President of the Sunshine Coast Cricket Association and Bli Bli Community Association. 

When not working, Chris enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family and friends.

Lucy Jorgensen (B Ed, LLB)

Lucy embarked on her journey with Bakers Jorgensen Lawyers (formerly Bakers Lawyers) in mid-2016. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in February 2017 and is equipped with a multifaceted academic background, holding a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Laws, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, all earned from Queensland University of Technology.

In recognition of her exceptional skills and contributions, Lucy was appointed as co-director of the firm in February 2024, sharing the directorial responsibilities with founder Chris Baker. Lucy currently spearheads the firm’s property and development team, showcasing her prowess in navigating the complexities of property and commercial law.

Her extensive experience spans the acquisition and sale of diverse properties, including commercial, industrial, retail, and residential. In the commercial space, Lucy excels in advising on business and company acquisitions and sales, bringing a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to these intricate transactions.

Lucy is a seasoned professional in commercial and retail leasing, leveraging her expertise to guide clients through the nuances of these complex agreements. Her proficiency extends to developments, strata titling, and flat land subdivisions, where Lucy’s attention to detail and strategic approach shine though.

In essence, Lucy’s passion for her work, coupled with her comprehensive knowledge and strategic approach, makes her an invaluable asset to Baker Jorgensen Lawyers and a trusted partner for clients seeking exceptional legal counsel.

Chloe Robinson – Practice Manager

Chloe, an accomplished legal professional, embarked on her career journey as a legal secretary before honing her skills through roles as a paralegal and Business Development Manager. With a robust focus on staff management, business operations oversight, and prioritising client needs, Chloe’s expertise shines. Notably, she enriched her experience by working in London for five years, further enhancing her global perspective on legal practices.

Now assuming the pivotal role of Practice Manager, Chloe’s adaptability and comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape are evident. Outside of her professional commitments, you will find Chloe at the beach with her young family enjoying the coastal beauty.

Leanne McMahon

Leanne has been with Bakers Lawyers since its inception back in 2001 and is the Office Manager. She also specialises in Wills, Powers of Attorney and other estate planning matters. Leanne has vast experience helping clients attend to all their estate planning needs and can be often found cruising the streets of the Sunshine Coast visiting clients, ensuring all their paperwork is in order. She is a mother to a budding young Wallaby, who is currently playing in the Grammar 1st XV. Keep your eye out for No.12!

Amie Simpson

Amie commenced her tenure at Bakers Lawyers over two decades ago, where she has since been an integral member of the conveyancing team. In her personal time away from the firm, she devoted herself to nurturing her family and managing a hobby farm, all while pursuing a Bachelor of Nutrition. Presently, Amie is in the final stages of completing a Master of Science, focusing on the correlation between dietary choices and the mental well-being of women.

Recognising the significance of property as a paramount asset for clients, Amie empathetically acknowledges the potential stress and complexity inherent in the conveyancing process. With her expertise and support, she diligently guides clients through each stage, ensuring a seamless and successful settlement. Beyond her professional endeavours, Amie finds fulfillment in quality time spent with her children, as well as engaging in CrossFit and Rhee Tae Kwan Do pursuits.

Nicole Henry

Nicole became a valued member of our practice in 2021, bringing with her extensive experience garnered from legal practices in both New South Wales and Queensland, with a predominant focus on conveyancing throughout her career. Her proficiency is evident in her professional and courteous approach to all facets of residential sales and purchases.

Beyond her professional commitments, Nicole finds relaxation in camping adventures and cherishes quality time with her family. Clients engaging with Nicole can expect a seamless and stress-free experience, whether selling or purchasing property, owing to her adeptness and dedication to facilitating smooth transactions.

Athalia Kane

Athalia, a graduate of the class of 2022, brings a diverse range of experiences to her role as the receptionist at Baker Jorgensen Lawyers. Throughout her high school journey, she excelled as a member of the Futsal Academy and showcased her passion for dance by earning a spot on a tap-dancing team at a Sunshine Coast dance school, where she actively participated in competitive performances for three years.

Motivated by her interest in the legal system, Athalia has joined the Baker Jorgensen Lawyers team to acquire valuable knowledge and experience in the legal field. This position acts as a stepping stone towards her long-term goal of joining the police force. Athalia is fully engaged in learning various aspects of law, providing essential support to the legal team, and warmly welcoming our clients.

Outside of her professional commitments, Athalia finds joy in playing her guitar and embracing the coastal lifestyle with beach outings. Her dynamic background and enthusiastic approach make her an integral part of our team, and we eagerly anticipate supporting her as she navigates her journey towards a fulfilling career in law enforcement.

Robert Lynch

Rob joined the Bakers Lawyers team in March 2023 as the Wills & Estates Solicitor.

Rob is a dedicated, personable, and empathetic Solicitor with extensive experience in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and associated elder law documents. Rob prides himself in building an excellent rapport with clients, promptly identifying their needs and efficiently using agreed solutions to accomplish client goals. Rob is a strong communicator focused on delivering exceptional client care.

Andrew Fogg

Andrew Fogg is a seasoned legal professional with a wealth of experience spanning over four decades. Graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts/Law in 1983, Andrew embarked on a journey that would see him excel in various legal landscapes.

Following admission to the bar, Andrew honed his skills in private legal practice, serving clients in Oxford and Yorkshire for five years. However, his heart was drawn back to the idyllic Sunshine Coast, where he and his family settled in 1991.

For over a decade, Andrew contributed his expertise as an employed solicitor on the Sunshine Coast, building a strong foundation of legal knowledge and client relationships. In 2002, he took a bold step forward, establishing his own practice, Andrew Fogg Lawyer. Over the ensuing 21 years, Andrew’s dedication and commitment to his clients earned him a stellar reputation within the community. His approach, centered on understanding the unique needs of each client and providing pragmatic advice, garnered trust and loyalty from a diverse clientele.

Throughout his career, Andrew’s areas of focus have included commercial and residential property matters, community title schemes, commercial leasing, wills and estate planning, and business acquisitions. His firm’s strong partnership with Bakers Lawyers, sharing similar values and client-centric philosophies, eventually led to the acquisition of AFL by Bakers, now known as Baker Jorgensen Lawyers, in 2023.

Today, Andrew enjoys semi-retirement, holding consultant status with Baker Jorgensen Lawyers. While he relishes the opportunity to spend more time with his extensive family, Andrew remains a trusted advisor, offering his expertise when called upon. His legacy as a patriarch extends beyond his legal career, embodying the values of wisdom, guidance, and support for those around him.
